Symbols and Icons have been a means for “wordless communication” throughout time & across all cultures. They evoke a variety of emotions and the same symbol can have different meanings to different people. Symbols are used to communicate necessary knowledge for our society, such as which restroom we will choose to use, and where we are allowed to walk our pets. Combined symbols can tell a story. Symbols play a huge role in our everyday lives and it is important that we understand how and why they are used.
